Golden Bay Malta

Golden Bay Malta is one of the island nation’s broadest beaches, measuring more than 50 meters from sand to sea at its widest point and a modest length of roughly 150 meters.

Golden Bay Malta is located in the north of the island and is one of the country’s best beaches. Tunisia would be the next landfall, facing roughly westward into the vastness of the Mediterranean Sea.

In addition to traditional beach activities, visitors can rent equipment for a variety of water sports. From mid-June through mid-September, lifeguards are on duty. While it can be mild enough to enjoy Golden Bay in the winter, swimmers face the risk of being caught out by strong undercurrents at this time of year.

Golden Bay’s dunes are mostly filled by orderly rows of sun loungers and umbrellas, which are close to a range of services, including a number of higher-end hotels and the famed Munchies Restaurant. Its shallows are well shielded from the open sea, and the water only gets deeper in considerable increments, making it a popular spot for younger families.

The beach is accessible by bus from all across the island as well as by private automobile, though parking is always a problem on peak days like Saturdays and Sundays during the summer vacation time. Many people linger until dusk because of the beautiful sunsets, and some even set up barbecues.
